Is there risk for losing data ?

#1 Post by xynet »

I read on other sites this is a recommended tool to recover images from corrupt SD card

However wanted to check if there any risk of losing the data using PhotoRec

Reason I'm asking is because I've read method "chkdsk" has risk and people have lost data, however didn't see any cases with PhotoRec

There is no risk as long as you don't choose to store the recovered files on the memory card itself.

Or you can try store all data in other memory devices every time you add new data. You know, back up things. :D
