Micro SD lost Partition

#1 Post by wrede »

Hi,

i need some help. today i had my samsung micro sd card (64GB) which usually is used by my mobile phone, plugged in my notebook (win8.1) in order to delete and copy some files. after doing so i disconnected the device and put it back to my mobile. unfortunately the micro sd did not show up, so i tried it with my notebook again: "Insert Disk". OMG!

I managed to restore thousands of files with photorec, but without any directory or file name, moreover most of them where deleted files i do not want to recover.

however testdisk fails to find any partition, as well with "quick search" as with "deep search".

please look at the screenshots - can you give any advice how to restore the old partition?

thank a lot!

Can you repeat your diagnose and can you select your card as disk instead of a drive?
It looks like Disk /dev/sd* (*=a, b, c, etc..).
Only disk displays your partition table at Analyse and your current partition structure.

Did you use TestDisk 64bit?
TestDisk 7.1WIP 32bit is recommended.
Actually all disks should be listed and not your SD Card as a Drive only?
I'll download the latest release and test it too.
It's unusual?

Fiona

Edit:

Already tested and it works.

I've selected an 64 GB USB flash drive.
