USB drive issue

#1 Post by stefanhp »

Hello,

I have a 16GB USB flash drive (FAT) that has a missing partition table. Unfortunately I'm not able to write back the corrected table, probably a hardware defect of the flash memory at this location.

Is there a way to temporarily mount the partition on OS X to recover the data ?

Thanks

Actually I used the copy feature from TestDisk (see topic How to save a partition from a drive to file) and was able to recover all data.
