#1 Post by jipr »

Is there a version of TestDisk compatible with Windows 10? When I ran the install it noted that I was missing dll files.

The version of TestDisk I was downloading was 7.0 for Windows. In the read me file it states: On Windows 64-bit, WoW64 (Windows 32-bit On Windows 64-bit) is required to run these 32-bit executables. TestDisk doesn't need to be installed, you only need to
- extract the files
- run testdisk_win.exe or photorec_win.exe

I extracted testdisk_win.exe locally and ran it. I received various messages stating that I was missing cyggcc_s-1.dll, cygiconv-2.dll, cygncursew-10.dll and cygssp-0.dll.
