Two partition, same file system, dif sectors, what to do?

#1 Post by lukandroll »

Hello guys, I'm having trouble figuring out what to do
Orinally there were two partitions, one of 300 gb the other one had about 3.5 tb
I was tryng to install windows 10, but I couldn't, because all my partitions showed the
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style" legend
So I tried doing the DISKPART CLEAN solution there is outhere, I like fool I deleted the other partition the larger one where I had all my files

Here's some pics

When you select a partition, there is a message at the bottom of the screen.
Usually the correct partition is the one listed without the "found using backup boot sector" message.

The biggest one is probably the good one.

It gives me this

Should I rebuild the boot sector too?

I managed to restore the biggest partition, the thing is, some files appear with 0 bytes, and others are missing...
Should I run some recovery tool to recover these files?
