How long to wait?
Ran testdisk on a healthy 16gb lexar and it was pretty fast. Running it on the damaged disk I'm wondering how long to wait after agreeing to create a log file.

If there are a lof ot bad sectors, it's better to clone the disk first using gnu ddrescue.
