Need to recover data from an inaccessible 2 TB seagate exter

#1 Post by 5hawshank »

after a sudden power failure my external 2 TB Hard drive of seagate has become inaccessible. whenever i try to open the drive it shows an error:

I:\ is not accessible
The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable.

i have about 200 GB - 250 GB of data in the hard drive and i need to recover them.i came to understand that the drive has turned raw.

is there any way that i can recover my data using testdisk? and if its possible to recover the data can anybody plz instruct me on how to do it?

i apologies if this isn't the correct thread to post this topic.

thank you!

Please give feedback of the scans done with testdisk. If it gives many "readerror" stop it. Do not use "write", we are doing diagnosis first.
