Photorec Theoretical Question: .JPEG renamed to .XYZ

#1 Post by luapacman »

Hello Everyone,

Will Photorec still find the file, even though the file signature remains the same?

If it is referencing the file signature, shouldn't it find the file regardless of the file extension?

I looked around but did not see a similar topic.

Thank you.

PhotoRec will recover any jpeg files whatever the original file extension (.jpg .jpeg .xyz..)
