reverted to RAW

#1 Post by greatmunzo »

Somehow a 1 G external disk reverted to RAW, exFAT; this happened after I formatted another external for another computer and when I inserted mine in the external case it took the image of the other disk and Windows just wanted to format it,and would not let me do anything other than format which I do not want at all; I have started Photorec to recover the files to another drive but after 30 minutes it says it'll take 150 hours!!!!! and it keeps climbing. This is way too long...thus what's wrong?
THANKS FOR YOU HELP

Try latest 7.1-WIP. Is it faster in your case ?

After 11 hrs and 48 mins it seems to have stopped after doing 38832 files ( I have about 66000 in that disk ) is there a way to check if it is recovering?; there seems to be disk, memory and cpu activity but its clock counter has stopped.
THANKS
