Cannot resume PhotoRec session in v7.1

#1 Post by robert456 »

I am running PhotoRec v7.0 on a 2TB raid 5 drive that has become corrupt. It has been running for 400+ hours and recovered around 3 million files so far, but has slowed to a "stop" varying from 113-120 hours to go for several days now. I tried running v7.1 after copying the session file from v7.0, but after answering "y" to the "Continue previous session" question, it says "No harddisk found", followed by suggestions to "Run as administrator" which I have tried without success. Version 7.0 resumes the session fine, but v7.1 will not. Any tricks I can try to get 7.1 to run or get 7.0 to complete?

I have published a new 7.1-WIP one day ago. Do you have the problem with this version ?

Yes, I was running the .exe dated 7/29/2016 10:55pm (UTC-6). I downloaded again this morning and tried again to be sure. Still says "No harddisk found".
BTW, I'm saving to a USB 2.0 external drive via a USB 3.0 port on the PC.
