Should I make a backup of the image file before I repair?

#1 Post by spyderrp7 »

Hello!
After 20 days I have finally managed to make a 100% perfect clone image of a failing drive with ddrescue.
The image file is 3TB. If something goes wrong with the image file, I can't waste another 20 days to build again that image file from the failing drive.
Would you suggest me to make a backup of that image file before I access that file with TestDisk or not?
