First of all, thanks for your software. Nothing else out there even came close. Here's my issue and I hope you can help. I'm a videographer and mistakenly reformatted a CFast 2.0 card with several clips on it that had not been transferred. I have not written over the card and after running PhotoRec it does appear that something has been recovered; approximately 345 GB. My issue is that instead of MOV files, they are now zipped into .gz files and will not open. It appears that there might be a partition issue, every other file has a similar name/number, but their file size is 4kb and 670mb (or more). The first file is always 4kb and the second file is always large. Do you know how I might be able to link them or a way to open them? I tried concatenating them, but it wouldn't work with the .gz.
Attached is a screen shot of files, as well as one of the xml reports.
Thank you for all your help.
Dean

In FileOpts, disable gz and restart a recovery. Do you get better results ?
Re: PhotoRec recovered .gz files, but can't open.
Unfortunately, no. I tried just recovering video formats, but nothing showed up.
Re: PhotoRec recovered .gz files, but can't open.
Any update to this query? I had the same issue on my Windows 10 64 bit machine. I've just run PhotoRec on my macbook pro and the file turned out to be a 64GB .sqlite file which is apparently corrupt and offers nothing in a sqlite browser. How do I get the original XAVC .mp4 video back? Is it possible?
Thanks
