Ext USB Portable 2TB

#1 Post by dyth »

Hi All,

I unable to access the portable and from windows chkdsk get this error message "all NTFS boot sectors are unreadbale or corrupt. cannot continue" and I just use "TestDisk" on Analysis screen I saw "Partition: read error".

My question, can "TestDisk" able rescue my files??

Thank You in advance and kind to reply my question.

Try TestDdisk, Advanced, List.
If it doesn't work, try to clone the disk to a new empty one using ddrescue, read https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf for details.
Once it's done, try again testdisk and if it doesn't work, use photorec.
