Hello,
my external 4TB HDD which had 1 NTFS partition, hast been formated by my TV. Now it is some kind of Linux partition.
Is there a way to recover it?
I tried PhotoRec and it works, but as you know without any structure.
I don‘t know how to start right with TestDisk. Since the old structure has been an Intel structure, but TestDisk detects an EFI GPT structure. Which one should I use? And what should I do Next?
Greetings
Timo

If the disk was using an EFI GPT, choose EFI GPT, Analyse, Quick Search, Deeper Search.
If the NTFS partition is found, set it as P(rimary). On next screen, choose Write, confirm, BackupBS, confirm, Quit and restart your computer.
