Is it normal that the program is running for 2 days and seems not to have ended his work?
It's a Pen Drive with (apparently) 25.000 files

Usually a recover last a few hours unless there are physical damages or very slow connectivity (ie. USB1 instead of USB2 or USB3)

You can use ddrescue to create an image from this pendrive, read https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf for on howto.
There are Linux, Mac OSX and Windows version of ddrescue.
