Recovered video files corrupt

#1 Post by thenewmr »

Hello all.

I tried searching the forum but wasn't very successful at finding a similar topic.

TestDisk allowed me to recover the video files I had deleted. But, all but 1 (small file) were identified as corrupt by both Windows Media Player and VLC Media Player.

Using another file recovery tool, it says that these files have clusters overwritten by other files. However, these files were written to the SD card before I had deleted the files in question. Also, once I realised I had deleted the wrong files, I quickly removed the SD card to avoid any further writing so I'd be surprised if anything actually wrote over these files.

Is there something I can do? Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your response. You mean chapter 13? I had read that already. Do you suppose there's anything else that could be done?
