Not seeing file types in File Opts

#1 Post by RocklinIT »

I am trying to recover deleted files from a ext4 partition. I am using PhotoRec 7.1-WIP, Data Recovery Utility, December 2018 and when I select the partition and then go into [File Opt] I am not presented with any file types to select\deselect. I only see the following:

Paranoid : Yes (Brute force disabled)
Keep corrupted files : No
Expert mode : No
Low memory: No
>Quit

Am I doing something wrong? This is a NAS storage system with a single volume configured. I am hoping to restore all files from free space on the volume to an external drive.

It's the Options menu, not the "File Opt" menu.
It's a good idea to keep the default selection of file families in "File Opt".
