I started an analysis of my disk with testdisk, after about 15h, I was only 50% ...
I had to interrupt the analysis because the log file took enormous proportions: 20 GB (20 357 187 KB!) And I had no more room on my disk C:
The testdisk error message is weird: The harddisk 3000 Gb / 2794 GiB seems too small! (3802 Gb / 3840 Gib)
Check the hard disk size, etc.
It's a bit anything anyway!
So, I will try again perhaps an analysis without creating a log?
Last resort, try to recover some of my data with photorec, but I need another empty hard drive.
What a problem, thank you Seagate for the total unreliability of the HDD

The log file grows very large only if there are read errors.
In this case it's recommended to clone the disk to an empty disk using ddrescue as described in https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf
Once it's done, remove the original disk and try testdisk or photorec against the clone.
