Recovered OS partition but unable to boot, OS not found

#1 Post by databubble »

Hi,

I did a terrible cloning mistake, luckily I found testdisk, I did a backup of most files as I was able to find the deleted OS from Analyze.
But for the PST files, I can open them but not much emails.(Corruption?) So I am hoping to make this OS partition boot again. I changed the OS partition to bootable primary and write it. Boot Sector is okay. But I face this error of OS wasnt found upon boot...

You may have to tried bootrec and/or bcdedit as explained in https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf
If your computer still doesn't boot under Windows, boot from a Windows DVD (A real Microsoft DVD, not a manufacturer DVD that will restore the disk content from scratch) and choose Repair Installation.
