How to see Hidden files in the TestDisk utility

#1 Post by Chris565781 »

Hi,
I was following this guide on recovering deleted files:
https://vitux.com/how-to-recover-delete ... -testdisk/
I managed to reach step 7 then I can't select the folder since it's hidden, how do you show hidden files in the terminal utility?

Thank you.

Do you mean a FAT32 hidden file or a file beginning by a dot on an ext2/3/4 filesystem ?
TestDisk can not undelete files from ext4, only from ext2. In this case, you should use PhotoRec on the free space of the ext4 filesystem. Be careful to store the recovered files on another partition.
