Experiencing trouble retrieving overwritten Krita files.

#1 Post by Guyman »

Hello, I recently had my Krita saves overwritten, losing months of work. Despite .kra being listed as a format that's recoverable in the wiki https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/File_Fo ... y_PhotoRec, there doesn't seem to be an option for it in the FileOpts section in PhotoRec. I've tried using a custom signature listed in this thread viewtopic.php?t=5436 but PhotoRec still can't seem to find any .kra files.

I've tried PhotoRec 7.1 and PhtotoRec 7.2 beta both on Windows 10. Any help would be very appreciated.

Krita files are part of the zip file family.
It's possible to recover deleted files but not overwritten ones.

Ah, that's a shame. Thanks for answering my question though.
