Need help

#1 Post by Kasey » 28 Sep 2019, 21:20

I had a little trouble with my DD that went into RAW without apparent cause. (Electric Pb apart because I have a UPS)

I discovered your tool believing that I found the solution but unfortunately I block at the first step of this sentence "Disk capacity must be correctly detected for a successful recovery".

Indeed the disc in question is a DD TOSHIBA DT01ACA300 of 3To.
This drive is well detected at 3 TB (2794.52 GB exactly) by the Windows Disk Manager. So I guess it's good in the BIOS too.
I am under Win 7.I installed version 7.2 of testdisk.

My problem is that testdisk does not detect the correct size of DD chatiw. it is indicated 801GB / 746 GiB.Would you have an idea to solve this problem and thus try to launch a recovery. DD.

If the disk is an external USB case, connect it directly via SATA. Some USB case do not handle disk over 2 To.
Can you copy and paste the testdisk.log file ?
