Hi guys
I have my old desktop hdd which testdisk is working fine on, I just got the "needs formating" errors after plugging it into my mac. I have found all my files on it and so far some of them have successfully downloaded onto my macbook hdd but the problem is I have 1tb of data to come off it and I cant find the directory for the external when I go to copy the files. I have pressed left etc to try find it but is only going to the files on my laptop hdd. I am currently running the program off the good external but that didnt help.
What am i doing wrong?
Help Cant find my external hard drive to copy files too Topic is solved

You need to mount your external hdd.
On macos, partitions from external disk are usually mounted in /Volumes.
