Currently you are using PhotoRec.
Have you been able to reciver files?
Thumb drives often are not Intel MBR standard.
Geometry is determined by manufacturer.
Despite that I would need infos from Analyse (your current partition table) Quick and Deeper Search.
If it doesn't help, you should do a diagnose using partition table type none.
Infos will follow.

i would still like to rebuild the filesystem structure any suggestions on how to go about this?
