Hi there,
I have a 4TB Hitachi rotary drive which I think possibly had its partition table overwritten during an OS install. Testdisk finds various different partitions but none appear to be the right one - I'm pretty sure it was a single 4TB NTFS partition, created in Win10. Most likely an install of an OS somehow got overzealous with mounting the drive, and decided to write over the partition table.
I have read somewhere that adding a new partition table of the same rough geometry may allow the partition contents to be recovered too, although I haven't read enough to risk the gamble. Any advice on how to proceed please?

Re: NTFS Recover Partition
Run TestDisk, after Analyse and Quick Search, use Deeper Search to find more partitions.
