HELP! - Partition or File Table Missing - I'm not really a computer guy

I pulled out my old 1-TB WD USB HDD to look for some old pics. It's been at least a year since I've done so. When I tried to access it Windows said it needed to be formatted. I know enough to know that it doesn't and didn't. I went to the SpinRite BBS and found where someone recommended TestDisk instead. I've run TestDisk and it told me a couple of things, but I don't know what to do now. I'm not sure anymore if the partition is really missing, or if the file table is missing, or if both are corrupt/missing. As much as I may regret this, I'm going to post all 4900 lines from the log. :|

Can someone please help me? I need someone to tell me what to do next. Thank you in advance.

testdisk.log file lists "cyclic redundancy check" errors. Your disk has bad sectors.
You need to clone your disk to a new empty disk using ddrescue as described in https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf and once it has been done, remove the damaged disk and try to access your data from the clone.

Thank you. That was what I was afraid you would say.

I decided to try PhotRec until I can buy a replacement HDD to clone onto. It's been running for about 48hrs now and is only 4% complete. I've noticed that it's duplicating a lot of the files that I've been able to open.

If you continue this way you really have a good chance of not being able to use your replacement HDD anymore. :roll:
And regardless how valuable your data will be, you will make sure that even a professional recovery will fail thereafter.
