5 drives corrupted at the same time, cant recover any

#1 Post by skewt »

Hello

I had 5 drives in a USB Enclosure (Orico 9548RU3 http://my.orico.cc/goods.php?id=4823 - Chip Jmicron JMB394)
A few days ago, All the drives suddenly reported as RAW.

These drives were not in a raid. they were listed as individual drives in windows but 4 of the drives were using StableBit DrivePool

When I do a partition recovery I will get 80+ partitions listed for the selected drive but cant see the files I am looking for
I'm assuming that the Jmicron has somehow caused major data corruption across all the drives so maybe a lost cause on partition recovery

The scan in Ubuntu found some files listed as a partition but it was just the contents of an old zip file
I can download the files with photorec but just a mess of nameless files

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hPb5_P ... sp=sharing - 4TB Drive scanned in Ubuntu
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qX09Mw ... sp=sharing - 2TB Drive scanned in Windows
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m8dVpY ... sp=sharing - Another 4TB Drive that just throws up lots of errors scanned in Windows

Thank you

This is an interesting story.
I did not find any specific question in your posting.

For recovery issues ask
https://stablebit.com/Support
as they know all the details of their proprietary product.
