TestDisk Recovery Partition Help

#1 Post by ServerGuy12 »

Hi there,
My dual-boot, (Ubuntu20.04+win10), somehow deleted itself during a shutdown.
Even though I never did any kernel mods or installed any packages. :|
But nevermind that, I have used testdisk to look at the deleted partitions.
These are the results:
TestDisk 7.2-WIP, Data Recovery Utility, December 2020 Christophe GRENIER <grenier@cgsecurity.org> https://www.cgsecurity.org Disk /dev/sdb - 1000 GB / 931 GiB - CHS 121601 255 63 Partition Start End Size in sectors
D HPFS - NTFS 0 32 33 73 239 38 1185792 [System Reserved]
>D HPFS - NTFS 73 239 39 23012 77 41 368504832 [BOOT]
D Linux 23012 110 11 45911 70 47 367869952
D HPFS - NTFS 45911 70 48 121600 247 55 1215954944 [DATA]
I need to know which to put as a

Code: Select all

primary boot partition
without getting a structure bad error
I also need to know how to get all the intel pc partitions because the 510MB local disk partition, which I've never seen before, just so happened to be a win boot partition, not letting me recover Linux/Vice-versa.
If this is not possible how would I recover win10 only so I can boot from there?
