Hi
NTFS data disk on Win10 was "Quick" formated and contents were unavailable. Tried Testdisk (Analyse) but data not found, only System Volume Information folder. Tried a test copy of "4DDiG" and data appears to be there but I would like to see if TestDisk can do the job, before I pay for it. Am I doing something wrong with TestDisk or is it just not capable of probing deeply enough to recover?
Quick formatted HDD and cannot retrieve data

Re: Quick formatted HDD and cannot retrieve data
I have no crystal ball. And the logical and the shortest answer for such a posting is: Try Photorec.
How should I judge this, please?

I thought Photorec would only recover photos. What is difference between it and Testdisk?
