There are 52 ATA errors...

so given my situation is there anything else i can do to try to get Testdisk to work? and is photorec the next step?

Thank you for your patience. i am plugging along here. Would you be able to tell me why Testdisk wont work in my case when i have read others have been successful? Have i done something wrong or missed something?

Appreciate your help.

Hey recuperation

ok so that is not so good. Any advice on next step? Is there a way to put the contents as is on another hard drive and work on it? can i fix the mismatch issue and use Testdisk? What do you recommend?

How would you approach this if you were not as smart and experienced as you are....say you were someone like me.

Thanks

This is not about being smart or not. I don't write novels. I already told you everything. If you fail to read I can't help you. This is driving me mad and destroying any fun in helping.

ok, sorry i am missing what you are saying. I do not have a lot of experience using these types of programs but like to learn. i am trying and do appreciate your help. One last question and i will leave it be. Would it help to delete the FAT32 partition and then run Testdisk?
