Adding fileformats - JS and NB (javascript and Mathematica)

#1 Post by gg4u »

I noticed in:

https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/File_Fo ... y_PhotoRec

that extensions of javascript files '.js' and mathematica '.nb' files are not supported (There is support of python and matlab).

It would be nice and useful to include them.

What do you think ?

I gues javascript files willl be found as text files. Use the search functions of your operating system to search for javascript type keywords in the files found by Photorec.
You can define custom fingerprints to enable Photorec to find new file formats. After learning how that works you might come to the conclusion (I don't know) that there are no fingerprint available that would allow identification of those file formats. Tell us how it is going.
