Unable to search free space with photorec

#1 Post by ben8399 »

When I search an NTFS partition, I see the option to search Whole or Free space, but when I search my ext4 partition, I don't get this option. Some extra info:

- I know it's EFI GPT table and thats the partition table type thats been selected
- I know it's ext4 (I checked via lsblk -f)
- I'm using ubuntu 22.04 (but I remember getting this problem on previous versions too)
- I'm using version 7.1 of PhotoRec
