Hello,
I am probably using things backwards here, but am using photorec to check that disk erasing is actually cleaning my disks before giving them away.
No matter which tool I use, after erasing, photorec finds back thousands of files with valid content. I would expect that after a disk erase, no file would be recoverable, or random content.
What am I missing here?
The machine is a regular win7 laptop with vendor default partition layout (1 boot, 1 recovery no letters in windows, 2 NTFS data partition).
Running photorec on the recovery and boot partition yield nothing to recover.
Regards,
File still found after using disk erasing tool
