Creating custom signature

#1 Post by hanzox »

Hello everyone. Photorec has been super useful to me, but I need to check files with a custom signature (.ztl - ztool from zbrush and .spp - substance painter file).
I read the tutorial on how to create a custom signature many many times, but I don't have almost no knowledge on programming to create the custom photorec.sig file that can be used in photorec scan.
I got stuck on what write inside the .sig file...
I tried the first example from tutorial

Code: Select all

[kmaster@adsl ~]$ fidentify /home/kmaster/src/testfiles/sample.pfi
but it's not working
Is there any more clear tutorial for complete newbies or someone willing to help me? I tried the tutorial many times and searched every corner of internet but no answer founded.

Thank you very much!
