I am trying qphotorec on windows and it works fine.
For MacOS, why the build to "qphotorec" is disabled ?
Any specific issues ?
If any developer try to point those issues; that will be good help.

Qt supports macosx, so it should be possible to build qphotorec for macosx.
You can try https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk_doc ... html#macos without the "--disable-qt" but some additional steps may be necessary to install qt for macosx
