Is it possible to resume TestDisk?

#1 Post by hwkraus »

Hi,
I had to stop a very lengthy (some weeks) TestDisk run to restore files of a defect ext4 partition (troubles on the PC). I've choosen the log option.
Is it possible to resume that file restore? I found the 'resume' keyword only for PhotoRec. Furthermore I found the thread <viewtopic.php?t=11673>. In it is recommended to restart TestDisk. But I don't get if TestDisk is continued or restarted from beginning.
Any help appreciated, Hans

Restart means "rerun completely" and not "continue".
