It easily looks like your file system is damaged.
In this case a safe solution is datarecovery software.
As already suggested, could you try Restorer Ultimate as a trial to check the status of your files like directories and file names?
Please run a RAW scan not a file search.

its found files but same issue as photorec just shows a massive list oftext files without names or directories, am I using it wrong?

It's understandable if a disk is defetive or a file system damaged.
Might be worth to give scavenger a try.
Same procedur as a trial to check the results first.
Scavenger recovered data if there was messages like unexpected MFT records if another datarecovery software wasn't able to.

I just found out that the file I am looking for should be exactly 64bytes big, any ideas on how to specifically search for just that file size with any software?
