[ Continue ] Can't be selected

#1 Post by DataSaver »

I can't seem to be able to select continue , i accidentally flash a Windows 10 bootable install to my SSD instead of my USB Drive. I have linux installed on the SSD , i really don't care that much for the Install as i do for the files. I think the SSD got formatted from EXT4 to NTFS

I have been running TestDisk 3 times now , and each deep scan run has taken about 3 hours , but i am unable to select Continue , each time i open the partition and i can't back out with Q as that closes everything

I just wish to select continue and not to open the partition , can someone help me ?

Disk /dev/sdc - 960 GB / 894 GiB - CHS 116737 255 63

The hard disk (960 GB / 894 GiB) seems too small! (< 1440 GB / 1341 GiB)
Check the hard disk size: HD jumper settings, BIOS detection...

Pressing the "return"-key should take you to the next screen.

The return key (enter just opens the selected first partition, it select it by default when it finishes, and I can't go don't to continue, and when I open a partition I can't close it

I can't reproduce your behaviour.

Your screen is not listed here
https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Step_By_Step
but I can see a similar screen after running the quick search.

After [Analyse] and [Quick Search] the only thing here is to click the return key and you should arrive at the screen where the first partition is higlighted with a green horizontal line.

Maybe you are doing something else but as you unfortunately don't bother to describe how to get to your screen I don't know what you are doing.
