Problem with external hard drive

#1 Post by dbevit »

I tried to reuse an old topic of mine, with a similar problem, but it's locked.

Once again an Intenso external HD is not recognized by Windows.

I didn't do anything... I used my PC, I turned it off and left. When I came back, next day, the PC hadn't shut off, was stalled and the only way to let it shut off was to disconnect that HD.

After reboot, obviously, HD not recognized!

I ran TestDisk and three HDs are recognized, the fourth one has its own light blinking but it doesn't show up in the list

While writing this post, I noticed that, now, Windows is recognizing that HD as a generic drive, its light is still blinking and it's not yet showing in TestDisk's list.

May you please help me?

Thanks!

You will have to contact a professional data recovery lab, unfortunately.

Update:
If it is possible to remove the disk from its enclosure and if the disk comes with a SATA connector you might connect the disk using a docking station or connect it directly inside a desktop computer - power down the computer first.
