undeleting all files to original location

#1 Post by aurora »

A crazy driver setup has deleted many files on my C: partition. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q= ... Vma33E92Vw

Now windows won't start so I created a bootable Testdisk and trying to recover all files to their original positions. From what I understand Testdisk undelete function works like this: you select files to be undeleted one by one and copy them elsewhere. But deleted files are so numerous and in different locations so in my case this will be very hard. Is there way that can I restore all deleted files to their original positions along with folder structure? (deleted data is around 30gb)

Thanks in advance!

Using TestDisk undelete, you can select several files. Recover them on another disk and copy them on the original location.
