Recover file with no extensions

#1 Post by mrcheese »

Can someone please help me, i need to recover files without any extension, though i don't understand the custom signature process. Has anyone created a signature for no extension previously that you could post here. Or even an alternative process or program i might be able to use.
Thank you

Are you able to undelete the files with testdisk? If not, have a look at the tutorial for adding custom file signatures to photorec. Photorec pays no attention to the file extension.
