Accidentally Overwrote ext4 with NTFS - 2tb

#1 Post by alvins »

Long story short - was in the process of moving over from Ubuntu to Windows and quick formatted my 2tb to NTFS (previously ext4). Now trying to recover the lost ext4 partition (the drive currently has the NTFS partition on it).

Testdisk detects the ext4 partition in 'None' mode. When I select EFI GPT as I am pretty sure thats what it is (default Ubuntu partition/format through Disk Utility for 2tb hdd using all space) it doesn't find it in the quick search - seems to see in deep search but when I press enter to stop the deep search - it doesn't show in the following screen.

I've attached logs and screenshots.

Any help appreciated.
