Write error USB/eSata SSD external flash drive

#1 Post by gsvr »

Hi,

I have a 32 GB RiData eSata SSD that was working fine with NTFS. I had to use it on a Mac so I formatted it to FAT32. It has a USB connector on the opposite end to the eSata connector. It worked ok for an hour and then failed. I can still read files and folders but I cannot write to the drive. I tried formatting, partitioning etc in Windows Disk Management, tried updating drivers, tested other USB and eSata ports: same result.

I can see the FAT32 partition and the NTFS partition when I analyse and do a deep search. When I try to write the partition I get a write error in TestDisk as well. Is the drive fried?

Log file attached.

thanks!
