selection of new file types

#1 Post by dragonfly41 »

In photorec .. how to selectively filter/recover files of following type ..
*.rtf (is this type part of *.doc family?)
*.scriv (which is an archive of project files in Scrivener editor .. http://www.literatureandlatte.com/)

[Later Edit]

I think I've found the answer to my question here ..

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/Develope ... o_PhotoRec

Ubuntu terminal command ...

fidentify /usr/share/scrivener/bin/Tutorial.scriv/Files/Docs/10.rtf

outputs ...

/usr/share/scrivener/bin/Tutorial.scriv/Files/Docs/10.rtf: rtf

so it confirms that ".rtf" is detected as a signature.

I'm installing a hexeditor to play with custom signatures.
