looking for some advise here, as I've a problem with my WD hard drive, details:
I've backed up my data on it just couple of days ago and did a full re-image of my laptop, after I wanted to copy my data back, I've attached the drive via USB to my laptop. It appeared that the drivers are being installed and the drive was ready to use, but just a second after I was prompted to format my drive so I would be able to use it. Terrible.WD 160GB, (WD1600BEKT-75A25T0)

So after multiple things I've done to get the data out of it, I need to reach out to experts.
Listing couple of actions I took:
I'm desperate as you can see, I've tried a lot in last 2 days, but no success.Kroll on Track (numerous data recovery scans) - found bunch of files of same size, such as GZIP, JPG, SWF) nothing that I had there
iCare Data recovery SW - same, found files that are not what I put there. (the HD was used before, but was formatted)
in Win7 under Disk management, it's listed as RAW file sys and healthy (dark blue color).
TestDisk : (screen shot and log file, not good looking I guess)

WD diagnostics - nothing
chkdsk /f :
The type of the file system is RAW.
CHKDSK is not available for RAW drives.
WinXP & WIN7 & WIN7 64x - tested on all and it's the same thing.
After I post this I'll try to boot ubuntu and see what happens there.
Any suggestions or help is much appreciated.
