Hi Fiona,

I have finished Deeper Search but TestDisk still couldnt find the singled partition :(

From memory, due to the fact that native Windows format wouldnt let me format 1TB external hard drive as FAT32 I ended up using Fat32formater to force format it.

I have tried every option in TestDisk but still could not see my partition. However, after adding MBR in Disk Management I was able to see my partition under [None] Non partitioned partition --> Advanced. When I tried to undelete my files I could only see arbitrary filename(s).

Is there anything else I can try?

Thank you for your time.

I might have done something stupid here.

After selecting [None] Non partitioned media --> Advanced I went ahead and rebuild BS. When it prompt for "Write" I said Yes.

Now when I choose my HDD, I get this message :( I must have done something terribly wrong.

For some reason, I couldn't do it the first time. But it's all been recovered now!

Thanks anyway for your attention, Fiona.

I've learnt my lesson: I'll do more backups next time...

TestDisk is the best software in the world!

Hi rppc, I've got a similar problem to yours. Could you explain how exactly did you manage to recover your partition? That would be of great help to me! Thanks!
