Micro SD Card recovery

#1 Post by tehweej »

The microSD card in my phone crapped out, and now when I plug it in it said unrecognized format for a while, but now it shows up as a 30 MB card, but it is an 8gb card. testdisk is not reporting the right partition data, and photorec finds no files on the card. What do I do from here? I have tried changing the geometry, but it still does not work.

How is your card in your disk management console listed?
To get any data off of your card, space must be recognized to recover data.

It is listed as a 30 Mb drive. However, It just shows up in disk mgmt, but I cannot mount it or navigate to it in any way.

Your symptoms appearing often, if the built in card controller is defective.
That's why you can't recover any data
In your case professional data recovery service might help.
