TestDisk for recovery: now showing system tests on starting
I recently installed windows on my system. I had Linux before which was in different partition, But the windows installation deleted my linux partition as it was showing as unallocated memory. I tried using TestDisk to recover my Linux data, following the steps mentioned in the documentation but on restart everything(even windows) has been wiped out and my laptop on starting now redirect me towards system hardware tests. Kindly tell me the way around this problem.

Would it be possible to put your disk into an enclosure and use windows to diagnose your disk or do you need a boot disk?
And if you use a boot disk, please let me know which one (Ubuntu?).
