Windows 8

#1 Post by gemnotts »

Hi

I recently downloaded the file to use photorec but it won't run, I've used it on a different PC which is operating on Windows 7 and it runs fine. Problem being that the Windows 7 machine won't recognise my SD card which I'm trying to retrieve my files from.

Needless to say I'm pretty frustrated about now. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks
Gemma

I'm working on Win8 too.
I've no problems.
Can you explain your problem a little bit closer?
Also there shouldn't be a big difference between Win7-PC and Win8-PC.
Is your card recognized on your Win8-PC?

Photorec seems to stay on "disk verification..." and not find anything, not even my laptop hard drive. I have managed to find the SD card through: Computer - Manage - storage device. But it does not show up when I initially plug it in. I believe it's a fault with the SD card though after reading numerous Samsung Galaxy S3 forums.
