file type for video for mobile phone 3gp files ?

#1 Post by mmhalf3 »

Hello,

Using PhotoRec on mac via terminal console to recover deleted video files recorded by a LG 4g phone's camera app. After reviewing the link on file types recovered by PhotoRec, see that .3gp (video for GSM mobile phones) files are recoverable. However, when I go to the FileOpt area in the app, I don't see 3gp listed as a selectable file type. Want to limit the search on the SDcard to only the .3pg video files, and was hoping to do that in the FileOpt area by deselecting all, then selecting the option for these files. Is there an appropriate file type for them in the FileOpts section?

Thanks
